I had the privilege of seeing the Dalai Lama this past Thursday at Loyola University. His message of non violence and compassion was delivered with his signature humor and humility. His advise to us on compassion was to start with yourself, do your inner work, then practice compassion with others. I liked his idea that compassion is as important as math and should be taught in all schools, everywhere. Start with that, he said and you will  change the world.
